Project Highlights: Buildings / Facilities
| St. Francis Bay Development | |
|
Top Vision Development LLC
The developers of the St. Francis Bay Development project, which involves construction of seven multi-story, residential complex buildings,
a loop road from Building 7 connecting to Executive Park Boulevard, and additional above grade retaining walls throughout the site, have retained
AGS to perform a significant amount of geotechnical work for the project.
Initially, AGS performed a geotechnical study for a previous Crescent Hill project at the site and then performed a supplemental geotechnical study
for the renamed St. Francis Bay project to update the initial report. Between 1996 and the present, the work AGS performed for these studies included
data review, site reconnaissance and study of aerial photographs, field exploration, field and laboratory testing, engineering analysis, and report preparation:
AGS involvement with the project currently includes providing construction monitoring as the various buildings are going up. |

| Moscone Convention Center I, II and III | |
|
City & County of San Francisco
The Moscone Convention Center is San Francisco's premier meeting and exhibition facility situated on two adjacent 11-acre blocks bounded by Mission, Folsom, Third and Fourth Streets,
situated in the heart of downtown. The existing 1.2 million square foot convention center anchors the central blocks of the 87-acre Yerba Buena Gardens neighborhood. Moscone Center is owned
by the San Francisco Redevelopment Agency and developed by the City and County of San Francisco. In response to a 1966 bond measure, the City is moving forward with The Moscone Center Expansion Project.
This project is an expansion of the Moscone Convention Center at Howard Street between Fourth and Fifth Streets. The total gross area is approximately 483,000 sq ft and consists of three above-ground
levels of exhibition halls and meeting rooms and belowgrade loading, storage, and mechanical areas. AGS provided services in various disciplines throughout all phases. |

| Asian Art Museum Seismic Retrofit, San Francisco | |
|
City & County of San Francisco
In 1994 voters overwhelmingly supported a bond measure to renovate the “old” Main Library as the future home of the Asian Art Museum.
The Main Library Building, which opened in 1917, was designed by architect George Kelham as part of San Francisco’s master Civic Center plan.
The overall civic complex is considered one of the Nation’s outstanding examples of the “City Beautiful” movement spawned by the Chicago World’s Fair of 1893.
More than three dozen landmark features of the historic building have been preserved, cleaned, and restored to their original brilliance as part of the new Asian
Art Museum which opened in March 2003. The museum is approximately 185,000 gross sq ft and 165,000 net sq ft.
For the design and relocation of the former Main Library to the new Asian Art Museum, AGS provided a range of civil engineering and construction administration services,
including the preparation of schematic design, design development, and preparation of construction documents. The new museum incorporates more stringent ADA requirements
for City & County of San Francisco public projects than required at State and Federal levels. |

| NASA-AMES Research Center A/E Services - Moffett Field | |
|
NASA-AMES
Since 1994, AGS has been providing on-site A/E services for the Facilities Engineering Branch of NASA-Ames
Research Center. These subconsultant services originally involved approximately 100,000 labor
hours per year in facility modifications, repairs and maintenance, including construction
inspection and management, and environmental compliance and remediation studies. Facilities
include offices, laboratories, aircraft shops, hangars, and the National Full-Scale Aerodynamics
Complex, which provides ground-based testing for aerospace vehicles. |

| US Navy As-Needed Environmental Engineering Services | |
|
US Navy
Under this as-needed contract, AGS provides environmental engineering services to the U.S. Navy for
compliance with the RCRA Site Restoration Program and related environmental issues in the
western United States. A UST (Underground Storage Tank) site at the Department of Defense
Housing Facility in Novato and the assessment of UST sites and fuel lines at Treasure
Island Naval Station and at Point Molate Navy Fuel Depot are among more than two dozen
projects of varying scope and size performed to-date. |
