As part of the BART Earthquake Safety Program, AGS is currently providing construction management services for the construction of 4th Street Storage Building contract.

Client: Bay Area Rapid Transit
Location: Oakland, CA

The work consists of structural retrofit of the wood roof structure of the storage building and demolition and restoration of architectural, mechanical, electrical and plumbing components and systems that are impacted by the structural retrofit.

AGS’ responsibilities include:

  • Providing onsite management of construction on behalf of client.
  • Administering and monitors construction contract to retrofit an existing wood roof structure, demolish and restore architectural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing components and systems.
  • Providing quality assurance of contractor's work quality.
  • Monitoring contractor's work schedule.
  • Administering progress payment to the contractor based on work complete.
  • Coordinating Request for Information from contractor to client and design engineers.
  • Enforcing contractual requirements on the part of the contractor to submit shop drawings, material catalog sheets, work plans, safety plans, and quality control plans on time and in compliance with the specified standards.
  • Creating deficiency list and punch list; enforces contractual requirements on the part of the contractor to correct deficiencies and complete punch list items.
  • Working with client's contracts department to close out contract.
