The project involved construction of wastewater treatment facilities near the San Francisco Zoo by the Great Highway.

Client: US Army Corps of Engineers
Location: San Joaquin, Sacramento, Feather River, CA

The 210-million dollar plant will be enclosed by retaining walls and will be built below ground with 4 to 5 feet of soil cover over the structures.

AGS performed structural, geotechnical, and seismic engineering for this project. AGS was responsible for the preparation of plans, specifications, and cost estimates for six of ten water treatment facilities, the east tunnel, and the pipe gallery. The construction administration services that AGS provided included shop drawing review, field correction, change order review, and field visits. As part of this project, AGS managed the installation of production and observation wells for a pumping test and monitored the performance of the test.
