Saturn Apartments (363 Sixth Street) are centrally located in the south of Market (SoMa) district, San Francisco, California. The building, at the corner of Sixth and Clara Streets, will provide many vital benefits to the neighborhood, including a new prominent corner space, increased street front activation and much needed family oriented housing. The buildings are anticipated to be 9-stories tall, and zoned for mixed commercial and residential use. There is anticipated to be a basement for each building.
The project included demolition of the existing buildings, and constructing two buildings at the above referenced locations. AGS’ tasks also included completion of a field exploration program, completion of a laboratory testing program, and the performance of appropriate engineering analyses and report preparation.
AGS prepared a geotechnical report that included geotechnical engineering conclusions and recommendations related to subsurface conditions, geoseismic hazards, earthwork, shoring, underpinning, foundations, and construction monitoring for the proposed project.
