Utilizing a Design-Build delivery method, the International Terminal Enhancement (ITE) Partners team provided Project Management Support Services for overall management and oversight of the Boarding Area A Gate Enhancements Project. The project included reconfiguration and replacement of 23 passenger boarding bridges (PBBs) at Gates A1 through A15 at BAA to accommodate larger aircraft and increase gate flexibility.

Gate A6 was retrofitted to allow for a three PBB operation for an A380 aircraft. Additional work included a bus annex, replacing the central pre-conditioned air (PCA) units, adjusting gate geometry, modifying fuel pits, implementing an aircraft advanced visual display guidance system (A-VDGS), and upgrading the 400-hertz system. Engine start pad work, taxiway lighting, as well as the creation of four remote overnight (RON) spots at Plot 6 were added to the project scope.

The PMSS team provided project controls and reporting; project scheduling, budget, and estimating; specialized technical services including passenger boarding bridge, surveying, special systems, electrical, fuel systems, and structural; partnering participation; stakeholder engagement; sustainability review; and project coordination.

As a Joint Venture partner, AGS led the Resident Engineering services, Cost Estimation, and Office Engineering for the project.
