The East Bay Municipal Utilities District completed a seismic evaluation update for the Main Wastewater Treatment Plant (MWWTP) that included the review and risk assessment for over 80 facilities. Evaluation results identified seismic deficiencies and prioritized improvements with the goal of mitigating risks, improving life safety, and reducing operational impacts in the event of a major earthquake. As a result of this initial work, AGS was awarded the contract to conduct additional geotechnical investigations in August of 2019 to identify geotechnical hazards, determine seismic-related criteria, and develop recommendations to support seismic evaluation and mitigation efforts. AGS’ scope of work was completed under nine Task Orders.
