The Phase II environmental site assessment for the Yerba Buena Island Ramps Improvement Project was prepared by AGS. The project's objective was to assess the potential contaminant levels in soils and groundwater that could be encountered during the ramps improvement project. The scope of work included initially completing a total of 17 borings. Soil samples were collected for chemical analysis. Subsequently, and to assess the extent of the lead impact on the shallow soil, additional 45 locations were sampled and analyzed for lead, between 0 and 0.6 meters (0 to 2 feet) below surface grade.
